OFFICE BUILDING, TALLOW CO. WATERFORD

This project involved the demolition of an existing building and the construction of a new office building in its place. Working on a constrained site required innovative structural solutions including balanced beam foundations and underpinning of an existing stone boundary wall.

The design was complicated by the requirement to maintain an existing party wall. Our solution was to create a line of structural steel inside this party wall to take the loading from the new structure while also providing lateral restraint to the existing wall.

The project provided new office space in the centre of Tallow.
